Required for Guitar students, others by audition
Students studying guitar as their primary instrument also perform in guitar ensemble. Based on ability, students are placed in duos, trios, and/or the Buffalo State Guitar Quartet. Participants also receive regular group technique and master classes with Professor Evan Drummond.
The Buffalo State Guitar Quartet is regularly invited to perform at Music Department and college-wide functions. In addition, all guitar students are given the opportunity to perform and receive instruction from numerous National and international guest artists and clinicians.
Students enrolled in the Guitar Program at SUNY Buffalo State will also have the opportunity to be involved with several local and regional guitar organizations:
