Jury is the Buffalo State Music Department term for the solo performance which occurs at the end of each semester of applied study. All students enrolled in applied study are required to perform a jury. The performance determines whether the student is promoted to the subsequent level of applied music instruction (e.g. 171 to 173, 273 to 371). Students enrolled in MUS 112 are not required to perform a jury. All juries will contain a sight-reading component of commensurate difficulty with the level of applied study.
