Pim Liebmann, Trombone, is an active freelance musician in Buffalo.  He performs regularly as a substitute musician for the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra and held the position of second trombone with the Glimmerglass Opera Orchestra before moving to Buffalo. Mr. Liebmann is a member of the rock group J.J. Swing, and the Tin Roof Jazz Band.

Mr. Liebmann retired from teaching in 2021 after 33 years as a public-school band teacher.  The past 24 years he has held the position as the 7th & 8th Grade Band Director at Mill Middle School in Williamsville.  Prior to Mill he taught at Heim Middle School in Williamsville and Cairo Durham CSD in the Catskills.  He holds bachelors and masters degrees from the College of Saint Rose in Albany NY. 

Mr. Liebmann’s school Bands have been featured groups at New York State Band Director’s Symposiums and he has conducted All County and Honor Bands across New York State.  He also served a nine-year tenure as music director of the Buffalo Silver Band.  Mr. Liebmann was the inaugural chairperson of the New York State Band Director’s High School Honor Band and served several years as the Erie County Elementary All County Concert Coordinator.
