Erin is a native of East Aurora, New York. She is an active member of the Western New York performing arts community, where she can be seen performing regularly with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, Buffalo Chamber Players, Buffalo Opera Unlimited, Clarence Summer Orchestra, Western New York Chamber Orchestra, and Erie County Chamber Winds. She is on faculty at Buffalo State University, and maintains an active teaching studio of over thirty flute and piccolo students from school districts across Erie County. Her students have won competitions and auditions including the Rochester Flute Association, NYSSMA Conference All-State placements, and more. She has students in the Greater BuffaloYouth Orchestra and Rochester Youth Philharmonic, and many others who play with other NYSSMA and ECMEA All-County ensembles.
Erin attended the Aaron Copland School of Music at CUNY Queens College to study in the studio of Keith Underwood. During her time at Aaron Copland, she won the school-wide concerto competition and performed as a soloist with the Queens College Orchestra and Queens College Chamber Orchestra. In 2019 she graduated Summa cum Laude with her Bachelors of Music in Flute Performance. Erin received her Masters of Music degree from DePaul University, where she studied with Stefan Hoskuldsson, principal flutist of the Berlin Philharmonic. During her time at DePaul, she was an associate member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago. Prior to her higher education, Erin studied with Christine Davis, principal flutist of the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra.
In addition to teaching and performing, Erin enjoys spending time outdoors and cheering on the Buffalo Bills.
