Jazz Ensemble

The Buffalo State Jazz Ensemble is one of the most visible ensembles in the Music Department. In addition to performing concerts, the Jazz Ensemble performs for several campus and community events each semester. The Jazz Ensemble's mission is to introduce students to the great American art form of jazz. Performing traditional, as well as contemporary ensemble arrangements, affords the student an opportunity to learn a myriad of styles that will develop their individual and collective musicianship. As the instrumentation is fixed, membership in this ensemble is at the discretion of the instructor.
