Kyle Resnick is a trumpet player known for his versatility and contributions to both live
performances and studio recordings across a wide variety of genres and musical styles. He has established himself as a prominent figure in the music industry through collaborations with a diverse array of artists and groups, from recording for Taylor Swift (“Folklore,” “Evermore,” and “Midnights”), Ed Sheeran and Bruce Springsteen, among several others, to Classical chamber and solo performances on concert stages over three decades. He has felt equally at home on stages like Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, the Barbican, Royal Albert Hall, Sydney Opera House and venues such as the Hollywood Bowl and arenas and football stadiums around the globe.
Kyle is a longstanding touring and recording member of the bands The National and Beirut, and has commenced in 2025 on a world tour with the band Mumford & Sons.
Since his time as a student to the present day, Kyle has found great satisfaction enriching his musical journey through teaching trumpet and directing ensembles, having served on the faculties of Juilliard Pre-College, Brooklyn College, SUNY University at Buffalo and SUNY Buffalo State.
He completed his Bachelor in Music at Indiana University, studying with Bernard Adelstein and John Rommel, and his Master in Music degree at the University of Michigan, studying with Charles Daval.
Kyle lives in Buffalo, NY with his wife, violinist and cultural philanthropic leader Yuki Numata Resnick, their two children and Kuma, their Norwegian Elkhound.
He attended Indiana University, completing his bachelor of music degree, studying with Bernard Adelstein and John Rommel. He received his master's degree in trumpet performance from the University of Michigan, where he studied with Charles Daval.
